Much of the color tinkering this season has taken place in the kitchen, thus... Kitchen Ink Series! Coffee, Avocado, and Onion Skin. Today I'm making drawing ink from coffee grounds. The mesmerizing plant magic begins when we add modifiers like alum, soda ash, citric acid, and iron solutions. Each additive brings its own surprise--it's alchemy before my eyes, and IT IS AWESOME.
