Avocado Pit Pink

Handcrafted botanical ink made from Hass avocado pits for fine writing and drawing with dip pens and brushes. This small batch was made in Philly with love from pits collected over many moons and slowly brewed over multiple days to extract dusty rose and peachy rust tones. Pits for 2024 this batch of ink were gifted by artist and maker friends across the city and by a dear love who eats avocados in his salad and knows how I adore the color held inside.
From the Avocado Love Collection
Watch how this ink was created and different ways it's used in the Avocado ♥ episode of Indigo in Green. This episode features a season of adoring and exploring the avocado. We dye paper for a love journal, extract pigment from avocado pit dye with Jackie from Bird and Brush Art, make pit pigment watercolor paint, mix up an avocado and rosehip oil healing salve with Janine from AIREA Soap Co., and sew art hearts at a NW Philly quilt shop, Cut & Sew!
